By default, Telligent Community Server tracks visits by internal roles with cookies that expire after a specified period.
To configure visit tracking parameters for members and anonymous visitors:
- Mouse over Management.
- Click Administration.
- Navigate to Authentication > Cookies > External authentication.
- Specify the following information:
- Cookie path field - Specify the location path of site cookies.
- Cookie domain field - Domain for the cookie (defaults to "localhost".
- Click Save.
- Navigate to Integration > User Synchronization cookie.
- Enable or fill in the following information:
- Enable user synchronization cookie - Enables external OAuth applications to detect whether a user is authenticated on the site.
- Cookie domain - If desired, create cookies that are insensitive to the domain, or if your community spans multiple subdomains, specify your subdomain in this field.
- Cookie name - The cookie name used to keep track of visits. Provided to applications that use the cookie for synchronization.
- Click Save.
