While Telligent Community Mobile can be accessed as a website, it is also possible to deploy a native version of the application either directly within an enterprise or through the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
To create a native application,
- Obtain the required developer credentials and application details from Apple or Google. Note that only iOS 6+ and Android 4.1+ are supported.
- Create an account with the Adobe PhoneGap Build service. This service enables you to create deployable applications without installing development tools and SDKs locally. Add the certificates created in step 1 to your account on PhoneGap Build:
If you are planning on deploying to iOS devices,
- Edit your account on Adobe's PhoneGap Build service.
- Select Signing Keys.
- Under iOS, click add a key...
- Provide a name of the key, upload your application signing certificate (not your push notification certificate) as a P12 file, and upload your provisioning profile.
- Click submit key.
- Edit your account on Adobe's PhoneGap Build service.
- Select Signing Keys.
- Under Android, click add a key...
- Provide a title, alias, and upload the KEYSTORE file you created.
- Click submit key.
- Use the mobile app package generator to create a customized mobile application package.
- Submit the mobile package created in step 3 to Adobe PhoneGap Build and sign it using the certificates added to your account in step 2:
- Go to Apps while signed into Adobe's PhoneGap Build service.
- Click new app if the form to add an app isn't already shown.
- Select private.
- Select the ZIP file created in step 2 from the build generator.
- Information about the app should now be shown. Click Ready to build.
- Click the iOS or Android logo to see more details about your app.
- For both iOS and Android, select the key you uploaded in step 2.
- For both iOS and Android, click the lock icon next to each key and provide the password used to secure each key.
- Click Rebuild all.
- When building is complete, the IPA (for iOS) and APK (for Android) files should be available by clicking the blue buttons associated to each OS.
- Deploy your compiled app to your Enterprise or submit it to the iOS App Store or Google Play Store.
