Group membership vs. group permissions

   We have a Partner specific group too (also Private Listed) but the use case is a little different than yours with how we're giving access and join permissions (all employees and partners can read/participate, but if they join, they get notified of everything, using the  automation).

We got "creative" with permissions (both on the group level and individual applications within the group) to get the desired outcome. On those same lines, and as a tangent to what Grant Pankonien  put above,

With those two, employees role will be able to see the group.

On that same "Employees" role, can you try Disabling the option to have them join the group? So employees would have access to read, create, comment, reply, etc (whatever you already set up), but they can't acutally JOIN -- would that make the group banner disappear?

HI Alex, thanks so much for the suggestion! We actually tried that and it didn't work. Even with the above two group permissions being the ONLY permissions turned on for employees, we still get that banner. I appreciate the attempt, though!
