The User Reputation Score plugin leverages 5 factors to calculate a user's reputation, with the following default percentages, with configurable values contained in brackets:
- Participation ([30]%)
- User activity ([15]%)
- Content quality ([50]%)
- Content moderation ([5]%)
- Abusive content (can reduce score by [75]%)
Participation
Participation is the value of the new User Points metric. This is the total points received within [90] days, dividing by [1000], capped at 1.0.
User activity
This is a weighted average of four new metrics [User Likes, User Ratings, User Bookmarks, and User Comments. These are configured in the Control Panel.
UserLikes
This is the total like count for a user, divided by [50], capped at 1.0.
UserRatings
This is the total count of ratings for a user, divided by [10], capped at 1.0.
UserBookmarks
This is the total count of bookmarks for a user, divided by [10], capped at 1.0.
UserComments
This is the total count of comments and forum replies for a user, divided by [20], capped at 1.0.
Content quality
Content quality is the value of the new User Content Quality metric. This is the average of the user's [10] best content quality scores (the underlying scores will naturally decay)
Content moderation
Content moderation is the value of the existing Abuse Reporter Effectiveness metric.
Abusive content
Abusive content is the value of the existing Abuse Creator Effectiveness metric.
Calculation
First, each of the five facets is individually calculated. Then, they are added together using their respective (and configurable) weighting percentages. Finally, the total is given a baseline, capped, and amplified by a factor of 1000. This guarantees that each user has a reputation score between 0 and 1000.
