User Reputation
This score denotes how the facets below are weighted in the calculation.
- Navigate to Control Panel > System Administration > Site Administration > Site Configuration > Manage Plugins.
- Use the Scores filter option to locate the User Reputation Score.
- Click Configure. The User Reputation Score configuration window appears.
- Set the following values:
- Participation Weighting % - The percentage of the User Reputation Score you want points as awarded by rules to account for.
- User Activity Weighting % - The percentage of the User Reputation Score you want the bookmarks, comments, likes, and ratings metrics to account for.
- Content Quality Weighting % - The percentage of the User Reputation Score you want the average of best content scores to account for.
- Content Moderation Weighting % - The percentage of the User Reputation Score you want the abuse reporter score to account for.
- Abusive Content Weighting % - The percentage of the User Reputation Score you want the abuse creator score to account for.
Participation
The participation facet is determined by the User Points metric. Particulars of how this facet is derived and used are in this article.
User points
- Navigate to Control Panel > System Administration > Site Administration > Site Configuration > Rules.
- Add, remove, or edit rules as needed to customize the points you want award for various contributions that are important to your community.
- Navigate to Control Panel > System Administration > Site Administration > Site Configuration > Manage Plugins.
- Use the Scores filter option to locate the User Points metric.
- Click Configure. The User Points configuration window appears.
- In the Options tab, enter the maximum number of points you want counted to cap the value of this metric in the Maximum Points field. By cap, we mean that if the default value of 1000 is left in place and a user achieves 1537 points, his calculation will still top out at 1000.
- Enter the number of days for the window of activity you want to look at in the Days field. For example, if you leave the 90 days default in place, the system will only look at points obtained in the last 90 days.
- Click Save.
User activity
User activity is a weighted average of the metrics that count the number of Likes, Ratings, Bookmarks, and Comments the member has made. To configure this facet, specify the maximum number of the item to count and then weight it in the scores.
Bookmarks
- Navigate to Control Panel > System Administration > Site Administration > Site Configuration > Manage Plugins.
- Use the Scores filter option to locate the User Bookmarks metric.
- Click Configure. The User Bookmarks Metric configuration window appears.
- Enter the maximum number of bookmarks you want to be counted into the Maximum Bookmarks field. For example, if you leave the default of 10 bookmarks, only up to 10 will be counted, even if the member has bookmarked more items.
- Click Save.
- Navigate to Control Panel > System Administration > Site Administration > Site Configuration > Score Configuration.
- On the left side of the tab, click User Reputation Score.
- Select the User Bookmarks Metric slider and set it to the desired position. For example, if you select Less or More, this will weight the metric accordingly.
Comments
- Navigate to Control Panel > System Administration > Site Administration > Site Configuration > Manage Plugins.
- Use the Scores filter option to locate the User Comments metric.
- Click Configure. The User Comments Metric configuration window appears.
- Enter the maximum number of comments you want to be counted into the Maximum Comments field. For example, if you leave the default of 20 comments, only up to 20 will be counted, even if the member has commented more times.
- Click Save.
- Navigate to Control Panel > System Administration > Site Administration > Site Configuration > Score Configuration.
- On the left side of the tab, click User Reputation Score.
- Select the User Comments Metric slider and set it to the desired position. For example, if you select Less or More, this will weight the metric accordingly.
LIkes
- Navigate to Control Panel > System Administration > Site Administration > Site Configuration > Manage Plugins.
- Use the Scores filter option to locate the User Likes metric.
- Click Configure. The User Likes Metric configuration window appears.
- Enter the maximum number of likes you want to be counted into the Maximum Likes field. For example, if you leave the default of 50 likes, only up to 50 will be counted, even if the member has liked more items.
- Click Save.
- Navigate to Control Panel > System Administration > Site Administration > Site Configuration > Score Configuration.
- On the left side of the tab, click User Reputation Score.
- Select the User Likes Metric slider and set it to the desired position. For example, if you select Less or More, this will weight the metric accordingly.
Ratings
- Navigate to Control Panel > System Administration > Site Administration > Site Configuration > Manage Plugins.
- Use the Scores filter option to locate the User Ratings metric.
- Click Configure. The User Ratings Metric configuration window appears.
- Enter the maximum number of ratings you want to be counted into the Maximum Ratings field. For example, if you leave the default of 10 ratings, only up to 10 will be counted, even if the member has rated more items.
- Click Save.
- Navigate to Control Panel > System Administration > Site Administration > Site Configuration > Score Configuration.

Content quality

- Navigate to Control Panel > System Administration > Site Administration > Site Configuration > Manage Plugins.
- Use the Scores filter option to locate the User Content Quality Metric.
- Click Configure. The User Content Quality Metric configuration window appears.
- Enter the number of best content quality scores you want to be figured into this calculation. For example, if you leave the default of 10 best contents, the system will average the user's top 10 content scores.
- Click Save.
