Welcome to our next module - Group Management - within the Community Management Basics course for Verint Community.  Groups are vital to Community Management as they help with organizing content and managing access to content within Verint Community.

Groups can be created and managed by Community Managers and Group Owners.  Think of Groups as communities.

Groups help organize content on your site and enhance communication between the members of your community. For example, you can create groups for customers, partners, and employees or staff. This allows Community Managers and Group Owners to organize group content in a logical way and allows users easier access to relevant information.

And….you can create as many groups as necessary, and each group can have:

  • Child groups or sub-groups as we call them.
  • Verint applications: blog, wiki, forum, and gallery, calendars, or ideas….and you can have as many of each of those as is needed for a particular group.
  • Specific permissions, access, and properties that are appropriate for that group and its members

Now that you understand understand a group is and what can be done within a group, go to the next section to learn best practices when creating and organizing your groups.
