Why Can't I Filter for Groups in the Search Pop-Up?

We're on version 12.1.2.21912

When I try to search for one of our groups, called "Artificial Intelligence" it doesn't immediately appear in the list, and I can't filter by groups:

It's similar here on the Verint community, except in this instance, the group does actually appear at the top of the list even though you can't filter to show groups:

Also appears to be the same that you can't filter for 'applications' either but they may also show up in the list? Doesn't quite make sense.

  • The search pop up is contextual. meaning the filte roptions will be relative to the group you are in.  So you can further filter by the whole group you are int, app etc.  If you want more granular control, hit enter for the search page which has a more filters including groups.

Sure, so I would expect to be able to search and find groups from the entire site when searching from the home page/group?

Especially since the group appears in the pop-up search results - I may want to be searching for the group itself from the search pop-up?

There's actually nothing on the interface that tells me if I hit 'enter' I'll go through to a more advanced search either, or to expect to be able to filter by groups by clicking 'advanced search' if I see it in the corner.

It's simply that if I can search in that box, I can see filters for everything else in the search pop-up, except for groups/sub groups?

  • There is a link in the popup that says advanced search, enter is just an easy shortcut.   You can click it if you prefer.  From the home page groups will come back in the search results.   This is not meant for a full search experience, it is meant for quick results that can be further refined at the top.  If you ar elooking for advanced search capabilities, again that is the Advanced Search
