Group Custom Theme Questions

There are a lot of options to do this.

- One way is to create another group theme for that group in particular
- Another way is, in the widget itself, based on the group ID(s), hide or show specific widgets.

A short example of the second option:

I have a secondary question, is there a way to link existing group theme templates to existing Site templates? It appears some of our templates do not have corresponding site themes, how do we link them?

I need to create multiple Group templates under 1 site theme but I get this message: 

No, site theme can only relate to one group theme.

Note that the inheritance of header/footer widgets can apply to to group themes that are not the same ID as the site theme.

Is there a way to specify what Site to use for what Templates?

When inheriting from the site theme, the group theme will first use the same-ID site theme (if it exists) and falls back to the currently selected site theme. This logic is not adjustable (beyond creating a same-ID site theme).

Interesting, Ok. We use templates for page layouts,. Template A, B, etc. We assumed they could all point to the same Site theme so they could share CSS/JS

If group themes do not have a same-ID site theme, they will all inherit from the single/configured site theme.

If group themes do not have a same-ID site theme, they will all inherit from the single/configured site theme.
