Is there a way to see the full message for friend request within the platform?

Question

When you receive a friend request notification it appears to be truncated to the first 50 chars and I cannot see a way to view the full message within the platform ?

So even in the view all notifications screen it looks like

The only way I can see to achieve this at the moment would be to edit the notification list widget and expose the underlying extended attribute ?

This is really something that should be addressed in the code of the NotificationType. It should display the full message on the notifications page and only truncate when displaying in the toolbar dropdown.
