When viewing images in a (blog) post, the user can click on an image to zoom in and see the image in more detail. However, this doesn't work with gifs and the user (as far as I can tell) has no way to zoom in or enlarge. Is there any way to allow zooming on gifs, or is the post author just expected to use a larger thumbnail?

I just realized a reasonable workaround and wanted to share in case anyone else comes across this in the future. To handle this, I uploaded my gif into the Administration > Site > Files repository. Then, I used that URL in place of the (uploaded) image in my blog post, also making the image a clickable link to the same URL and having it open a new tab when clicked.
