Getting invalid child count from List Threaded Forum Replies REST Endpoint

Hi,

We have attached two examples in which the response we got from API,

Can any one please clarify that why the child count is different?

Request: curl --location --request GET 'mycommunity.com/.../threaded.json

Example 1: Index (0) gives 10 children in the array but child count it says that 12 which is wrong and we getting confused what to take?

Example 2: Index (1) gives 1 children in the array and also child count it says one which is correct

The default page size for children is 10, that's why you're only getting 10 children back.

Thank you Brian, got it.

The default ChildPageSize is 10, but we can set this Max of 50. After chaining the child page size got the correct result.

Hello Brain,

Again we see another issue with the same Child count, see the below two cases.

Case 1: we have three children but its showing 1

Case 2: We have no children but its showing 1

Can you please have a look into the above cases, we unable to understand the child count value.

This can be because we are flattening the results once the depth is beyond the default of 2.

We are using depth as 9 instead of default value(2), is this ok or do I need to use default?
