Wiki ToC Sorting Order

It is sorted by the order defined in the Manage Wiki->Table of Contents, then alphabetically.  So it will respect the defined order first, then alphabetically after for pages not yet had an order specifically set.   There are 2 ways to modify the order.  The panel I mention above where you can move things around the whole tree, or on the options tab of the add/edit page which allows you to move it around the current level.

When you say "order defined in the Manage Wiki -> Table of Contents" What exactly do you mean. All I see is the actual ToC. I don't see an area to "define" how to have it render. In option 2 the screenshot attached is all I see. Again, not sure where the option to "move it around the current level" is. 

When on the Wiki, click the pencil icon in the top left to open the management panel.  You should see Manage Wiki, then Table of Contents after clicking it.

Understood. But once there all one can do is drag things around to change them. There is no up-front "defining" of how you want the ToC to operate within the Admin panel.

What behavior are you looking for?  If you want alphabetical, you can choose to not make any ordering changes and it should insert them alphabetically per level, save the default the wiki page which ends up first but can be moved.

So the only change in 9.1 was the drag and drop functionality in the Admin panel? There was no organize by "Post Date" whether ascending or descending?

Its been some time since 9.1, but the only significant change made to the wiki TOC was the ability to arrange the TOC manually, like you are seeing.   Organizing the TOC by dates does not really work unless it flattened.  If thats the desire, then you can just use a Wiki Page List widget and modify the widget source to sort based on whats available in the API.
