How can I filter by values included in a member profile when pulling a report on engagement?

Hi there! 
 We are hoping to pull a report on the unique contributors, originators, and engagers in our community and filter by an additional category from their member profile values (to see whether they are a part of a national, state, or local level organization). Is this possible to do without having to manually review the unique users member profiles individually?

I suppose there is no direct way to achieve this . 
 1. Create a custom widget that exports the users data including additional category of the member profile values . 
 2. Export the report on participation 
 3 . Merge both of them .
