Closing Event Registrations?

You're not missing anything—there isn't currently an out-of-the-box option within Verint Events to set a registration close date/time when using event registrations directly in the platform.

One option is to enable registrations with RSVP, which allows users to express interest in attending. However, those registrations still need to be approved or denied before becoming registrants. Even then, my understanding is that users may still be able to view the event details regardless of whether they've been approved yet, so it doesn't fully solve the challenge of controlling access to webinar joining information.

For scenarios like webinars where you need tighter registration management and a firm registration cutoff, we typically recommend hosting the event through a dedicated webinar platform such as Zoom, Teams, or another third-party event solution. You can then use a Verint Event to promote the webinar, provide details, and direct users to register through the external platform. Those tools generally provide registration deadlines, automated confirmation emails, waiting lists, and attendee management capabilities that aren't available in the standard Verint Event registration process.

So, unfortunately, there isn't currently a native registration deadline feature for Verint Events, but leveraging a third-party webinar platform is usually the most effective workaround.

It drives me insane that yet again we have to jump through hoops and come up with 'workarounds' for something that is so simple and should be part of an OOTB offering. 

I would add this as a suggestion in the ideas area but I know that would be a futile exercise...
