Staus Message Rest Api Message Body limit

Hi , 
 
 We are facing an issue with the Create Status Message REST Endpoint having message body > 1513 charectors throwing 404 error, where as from widget its allowing more than 1513 charector . 
 is this a bug or there is any limit ?

Since we are using the query params than body params we faced this issue , its not a bug anymorre.
