Sending a scripted email from a plugin

I am updating a number of emails from ITemplateablePlugin with custom tokens to the Email Studio. How do I go about sending the scripted emails from a plugin?

Also wondering if IConfigurableTemplate plugins that use tokens to send emails from the job server will still work?
