People Search : Configuration

Description

Purpose

Searches and filters people in the community.

This widget is meant to be used in two instances - such as on a people search page. For example, one widget can be used in the main content column in Search Results mode, while the other would be used in the sidebar column in Filter Options mode. The filter options mode widget will allow you to filter the search results returned on the page.

Where it works

This widget works on site pages.

Configuration

Place and configure the widget

1. Click Pencil Icon >  Manage [Site/Group] Theme > Edit this Page
2. Select and place the People Search widget on the page
3. Click on  in the widget menu bar. The configuration dialog appears.
4. You can change the title of this widget by replacing the text in the Widget Title box.
5. View - Select the display type from the drop-down list: 
   • Search Results - Returns a list of members.
     • Page Size - Define the number of results you want displayed on a page/ Default = 20
   • Filter Options - Provides filters for members to display in the Search Results.
6. Click Save to exit the configuration dialog.

7. Click Publish when complete.
