Purpose

Displays a list of forum threads.

This widget works on forum home pages and forum post pages.

Configuration

Place and configure the widget

1. Click Pencil Icon >  Manage [Site/Group] Theme > Edit this Page
2. Select and place the Forum - Thread List widget on the page
3. Click on  in the widget menu bar. The configuration dialog appears.
4. You can change the title of this widget by replacing the text in the Widget Title box.
5. Include Discussion Threads - You can select this option alone or with the next option. Displays only posts included in forums that have been designated discussion forums.
6. Include Question and Answer Threads - Can be selected alone or in combination with include discussion threads above. Displays only posts included in forums that have been designated Question and Answer forums.
7. Support User Filtering and Sorting - If this option is selected, you can select default filter and sort by options.
8. Default Filter - Select one of the following options to default how the threads are displayed:
   
   • None (Show All)
   • Unread by Accessing User
   • Only Answered
   • Only Unanswered
   • Only Answered but not Verified
   • Only Answered (including Not Verified Answers)
   • Accessing User has Participated in
   • Accessing User has Authored
9. Maximum Age of threads to display - Select one of the following options to limit how the threads are displayed.
   • None (Show All)
   • 3 Months
   • 6 Months
   • 12 Months
10. Sort By - Select one of the following options to default how the threads are sorted:
    
    • By last reply date
    • By thread date
    • By reply count
    • By view count
    • By name
    • By quality
    • By most asked
    • By votes
11. Sort Order - Select one of the following options to default the sort order for threads:
    • Ascending
    • Descending
12. Show only popular threads - Shows only posts which meet the popularity criteria set in Global Forum Settings. For example, the threshold number of replies or views a post must achieve before being considered "popular."
13. Select group/forum to pull content from - Start typing the name of the group or forum where you want to pull content from. If you don't specify a group, it defaults to the current group.
14. Include forums in selected group's sub-groups - Select this option and the group's sub-groups will also become part of the list. (Note that if you selected "Show only popular threads," these posts will only display if they meet the criteria.)
15. Number of items to display - Define the number of posts you wish to display.
16. Click Save to exit the configuration dialog.
17. Click Publish when complete.
