Group privacy for support communities

We have a software support community where all of our groups are private unlisted or private listed. This keeps our intellectual property off the internet.

We want to open all of our content so our users can see group content before they join. The privacy options on the platform go from "private" groups with no visible content on the internet, to "public" where all your content is visible to the anyone on the internet.

Does anyone have experience/advice in this scenario? Has anyone created an automation that would keep the community closed to the general public, but visible to all platform members?
