Do I need to uninstall community license before upgrading it to next version?

Hello Members,

We are in the process of upgrading our existing non-prod environment from 11.1 to 12.1. Do i need to uninstall my existing community license before the upgrade processes starts?

Or does it not matter at all? The reason I am asking is that I am running into lots of issues and I am wondering if that has anything to do with it.

  • What if we need to synch our production environment to our non-production (QA) environment? We ran into an issue during our last upgrade from v10 to v12 where traffic to our production environment was being redirected to our QA environment after we synced the two. We now have a new webmaster who is unfamiliar with the product and we want to make sure we avoid repeating the same mistake. Any help would be appreciated. Tagging
