I've stopped using the "Website" field on the event creation screen for this reason. Instead, I use the "Location" field and put the event registration information in the body of the event (You can see examples here: https://sugarclub.sugarcrm.com/engage/c/e/5883 & https://sugarclub.sugarcrm.com/engage/c/e/5881). I haven't removed the "Website" field (yet), but I have trained other event creators at my company to ignore the field.
