Do Articles have a view count (accessible through the script API) ?

Thanks Patrick, yes, that works.. but when I'm looping over a set of results to show in a list widget I'll now need to do an extra call to go get the count, not ideal, but workable. Any chance we can get that added to the Article object to make it easier to display when we're looping over a list?

Content Views is a sub service and doing this as it has been done in the past couplesd the application to this service.  This would mean changes to the service could impact the application and the preference is to avoid this coupling.

You could always create your own storage mechanism and use automations and such to de-normalize the data.

Hi Matt, you could look to lazy load the counts via js so that the initial load isn't slowed down, add a data element to the items so that the contentid can be identified and call a vm file via js to get the counts

Good idea. I'll see how well it performs to have the call to core_v2_contentViews.GetViewCount in the loop, then lazy-load it in if it's too slow.
