How do I get notified of an event registration?

Maybe I'm missing it, but as a group owner, I'm not getting notified of people registering for an event. Is there a notification that should be turned on so I know to go in and review the registration?

Out of the box, I don't believe notifications are sent when registrations are submitted as that could easily become overwhelming. One would need to check the event for pending or confirmed registrations. I would expect an automation could be developed to generate such a notification if needed.
