Remove Roles from Group with Velocity?

Question

Is there a way to remove roles from groups using Velocity? 
 
 I found the core_v2_groupRoleMember.Delete function; however according to the documentation that only works for the accessing user.

Fairly sure those descriptions are just horribly incorrect. core_v2_groupRoleMember has nothing to do with user and everything to do with adding, removing and listing role memberships in groups. 
 core_v2_groupRoleMember.Delete should have a description that says "Removes a role from membership in a group"
