How is Articles functionality better than other content types?

Hi everyone,

I'm a new Community Manager that is currently learning her way on this new path. Recently, the Community I handle had its upgrade to 12.1 and thus, we have now access to the new upgrades such as the new Articles functionality.

One of the questions that kept bugging my mind is how exactly is Articles functionality better than other content types that already exist such as Wikis and/or Blogs and why should people choose one over the other?

The only thing that currently comes to mind is the Publish Group functionality, which indeed seems to be thing on its own that would save time vs having to publish the pieces one by one.

But if I'm thinking about the rest, such as, let's say, helpfulness feedback, which is a feedback feature that can also be given by someone as a reply via a comment to a respective blog post/wiki, or why should someone use articles to write their content when they have the other options such as blog and wiki, I'm having a hard time explaining why they should choose the newer content function over the older ones. They all seem to be serving the same purpose in the end.

I'm trying to understand the logic behind the functionality and the use case for it in comparison to the other existing content functionalities because I'm sure that this question will pop-up into our members' minds, too.

And I want to make sure I properly understand the logic behind so I can give them the proper answer when they're most assuredly going to ask why should they use this new functionality when we already have all the others.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation/help!

All the best,

Georgiana
