Generating keys for cookie authentication

Hi, 
 I'm using cookie authentication as detailed here https://community.telligent.com/community/12/a/developer-training/c/external-authentication/DT5/cookies-authentication in our site. 
 I've been using the sample values for Encryption Key, HMAC Key and Initialisation Vector during testing, but as we approach go-live I'd like to replace them with generated values. 
 I can't find any guidance on how to generate these values apart from some links to highly technical external documentation, which I find kind of difficult to follow. 
 Is there any simpler way I can use to generate these values?

You're looking at generating cryptographically secure strings of various lengths as specified by the linked documentation. There are some online tools to do this, or you could look at using a password manager that can generate keys, or there are code examples of how to generate secure keys in various languages.
