Group Permission Templates

It sounds like you're referring to some sort of multi-group setup template, which is not part of the feature. The granularity is currently limited to the 5 site-defined group types (Joinless, Public Open, Public Closed, Private Listed, Private Unlisted). If the different groups are created as different types from these 5, each would match the defined permission templates for those group types.

There's also no built-in way to copy a group/permission structure from one place to another.

Thanks for the clarification. This sounds like it will still be a useful tool, but unless I can define custom group types from those, this seems like it is more of a site-wide adjustment feature set.

I think extending this in the future to being more granular and/or adding that built-in copy function for group permissions would be awesome!
