Description
Purpose
Using the header tags (<h2>, <h3>, ...) within the content, this widget displays a dynamically linked table of contents.
Where it works
This widget works on just about any page on the site supporting content.
Configuration
Place and configure the widget
- Click Pencil Icon > Manage [Site/Group] Theme > Edit this Page
- Select and place the Content - Table of Contents widget on the page
- Click on
in the widget menu bar. The configuration dialog appears. - You can change the title of this widget by replacing the text in the Widget Title box.
- Maximum indentation depth - Maximum indentation limits the tree's visual depth. Deeper items will be flattened within the same level. Indentation levels are inferred from the structure of content headings. Default = 3
- Dynamic collapse depth - Depth at which the tree, as defined by the maximum indentation depth, will be dynamically collapsed and expanded as content is viewed. Default = 2
- Render inline - When checked, inline rendering injects the tree directly alongside the content, facilitating narrower layouts. The tree will not dynamically collapse and expand when inline
- Click Save to exit the configuration dialog.
- Click Publish when complete.
