Article More Content : Configuration

Purpose

Suggests related or recommended content that may be of interest to the accessing user.

Where it works

This widget works on blog post, wiki post, forum thread, and media file pages.

Configuration

Place and configure the widget

  1. Click Pencil Icon >  Manage [Site/Group] Theme > Edit this Page
  2. Select and place the More Content widget on the page
  3. Click on   in the widget menu bar. The configuration dialog appears.
  4. You can change the title of this widget by replacing the text in the Widget Title box.
  5. Type - Select the result type from the drop-down list:
    1. Related - Pulls related content.
    2. Recommended - Pulls content using the recommendation engine.
    3. Recommended People - Pulls people recommendations using the recommendation engine.
  6. Display - Select one of the following:
    1. List - Displays recommendations or related content in a static box.
    2. Slider - By selecting 'slider', suggestions will be shown in a popup that slides in when the page is scrolled. On narrow targets, 'list' is used even if 'slider' is selected.
  7. Show Content - Check the types of content you wish to be included:
    • All
    • Article
    • Blog Post
    • Calendar Event
    • Comment
    • Forum Reply
    • Forum Thread
    • Idea
    • Listing
    • Media
    • Page
    • Status Message
    • Wiki Page
  8. Show groups - Check to have group names included in results.
  9. Filter contents by groups - By default if no groups are selected, the widget pulls from all groups the user has access to. If a group is selected, it will only pull from that group (but not sub-groups).
  10. Include sub groups' content - Includes results from the subgroups of the filter group defined above.
  11. Content Age - Returns content created within the last (x) number of days, use 0 for all time. Defaults to 60.
  12. Number of items to show - Specify how many related items you wish to see in the list. Defaults to 5.
  13. Click Save to exit the configuration dialog.
  14. Click Publish when complete.
