Article Media Gallery - Links : Configuration

Description

Purpose

Displays common action links related to media galleries. You can customize the widget to suit your community's needs.

Limitations

The widget options are shown according to context. Even if all options are enabled, they will only be displayed as appropriate for the page type and according to member permissions.

Where it works

This widget works on any media gallery page. When collapsed you access the options by clicking More. 

Configuration

Place and configure the widget

  1. Click Pencil Icon >  Manage Site/Group Theme > Edit this Page
  2. Select and place the Media Gallery - Links widget on the page
  3. Click on   in the widget menu bar. The configuration dialog appears
  4. You can change the title of this widget by replacing the text in the Widget Title box
  5. Collapsed - Selecting this check box collapses the blog options into a "More" button
  6. Select, arrange, and enable the links to be displayed
    1. Administer gallery - Provides access to the media gallery content and properties. You must have the Media Gallery - Edit Post permission.
    2. Bookmark file - Adds this file to your bookmarks.
    3. Bookmark gallery - Adds the gallery to your bookmarks.
    4. Create new gallery - Creates a new media gallery. You must have administrative privileges.
    5. Delete  - Deletes the post. You must have the Gallery - Delete Media permission.
    6. Download - Downloads the file. 
    7. Edit - Opens the file editing form. You must have the Gallery - Edit Media permission.
    8. Feature - Opens the Administration Panel to Featured Content option
    9. Manage gallery - Upload a file; review (edit or delete, publish, or unpublish) comments, and work with file details (moderation, ratings, notifications, comments).
    10. Move file - Opens the Administration Panel to Manage Gallery / Gallery Options - the user must have appropriate permissions for this to be displayed
    11. Next - Displays the next file.
    12. Previous - Displays the previous file.
    13. RSS - Adds RSS feed to the media gallery.
    14. Share - Sends a link to the file to other users.
    15. Subscription - When subscribed, user receives notification of any comments published about the file.
    16. Upload - Adds a new file or URL to the gallery.
    17. View All - Displays the entire list of files in the gallery.
    18. View Slideshow - Displays the gallery files in a slide show format.
  7. Click Save to exit the configuration dialog.
  8. Click Publish when complete.
