Article Group - Banner : Configuration

Description

Purpose

Displays a banner of common group information and links.

Where it works

This widget works in the header of group home pages, application (e.g., blog, wiki) pages, and post pages.

Configuration

Place and configure the widget

  1. Click Pencil Icon >  Manage [Site/Group] Theme > Edit this Page
  2. Select and place the Group - Banner widget on the page
  3. Click on   in the widget menu bar. The configuration dialog appears.
  4. You can change the title of this widget by replacing the text in the Widget Title box.
  5. Navigational items - Add, edit, delete, rename, or reorder navigation items for the group. Options may include but not limited to the following:
    • Home
    • Blogs
    • Forums
    • Resources
    • Documentation
    • Members
    • Mentions
    • Tags
    • Custom URL
    • Group calendar(s)
  6. Include Parent NavigationWhen checked, parent groups can be navigated to from the current group.
  7. Include Group Avatar - When checked, group avatar will be displayed.
  8. Render 'New' button to non-logged-in users - When Checked, renders the 'New' button to non-logged-in users which then redirects to login.
  9. Narrow on Inheriting Themes - When checked renders the narrow view on inherited themable applications that provide their own banner, such as blogs.
  10. Application Title on Inheriting Themes - When checked will always render the application title in narrow view on inherited themable applications that provide their own banner, such as blogs.
  11. Click Save to exit the configuration dialog.
  12. Click Publish when complete.
