Purpose
Displays content comments.
Where this widget works
This widget works on almost all application pages including; Articles, Blogs, Blog Posts, Groups, Leaderboards, Status Messages, Forums, Ideations, Ideas, Galleries, Media, Calendar Events, and Users. Custom pages do not support this widget.
Configuration
Place and configure the widget
- Click Pencil Icon > Manage [Site/Group] Theme > Edit this Page
- Select and place the Comment List widget on the page
- Click on
in the widget menu bar. The configuration dialog appears. - You can change the title of this widget by replacing the text in the Widget Title box.
- Endless Stream - Click checkbox to automatically load more comments when scrolled near the end
- Number of comments to load at a time - This defaults to 10. Specifies the minimum number of content comments to be displayed.
- Default Sort Order - Select from one of the following options
- Oldest
- Best
- Newest
- Thread Depth - Visible threading depth, beyond which comments are flattened. Select an option from the following
- 1 (Flat)
- 2
- 3
- 4
- 5
- Include Best - When enabled, displays a summary of top-voted comments
- Include
- Exclude
- Best Comments to Display - Set a count
- New Highlight Duration - Seconds to highlight visible new replies
- Click Save in the configuration dialog.
- Click Publish when complete.
