Show draft blog posts

Hello

In one of my blog applications, I would like to show the posts in draft status. I was under the impression that ticking 'Include Unpublished' would achieve this, but no posts display on the page. Am I doing something wrong, or is this not possible?

Thanks

  • Hi Oliver, I think there's a distinction made between draft posts and unpublished posts. If you go into the side panel and manage the blog and go into posts. You can unpublish a post. The "Include Unpublished" checkbox is meant for that. Drafts will not show by checking that box.

  • I wish I could go from Draft -> Unpublished for blogs and wiki documents. We often have content on our site which we want to have in a state that's "waiting for go-live" and shouldn't be public, and to have a workflow of allowing people to "publish on a set date" once it's ready, but also to denote that it's not in a draft state.

A part of me feels it certainly over complicates matters and it could have also simply been 'demote published to a draft'. I appreciate the distinction between drafts and unpublished and that they both exist, they certainly have their use-cases though.
