Trying to upload a video

After a long time preparing, the 1.7gb video and 487mb videos uploaded only for them to say 'the video could not be prepared'. Does anyone know what this means? The videos play fine on my machine so I have no idea what the problem is.

And I also realise that best practice should be to chop these video files up into smaller sections so they are easier to consume, but in this instance the stakeholder has given me just a full day's recording, so I am trying to find a solution for what they have given me.

Sounds like the video rendering codec is crashing. I have seen this in my community too. It takes forever to convert the video into a rendered version and then it just dies.

Let me talk to Gangadhar 3sides  about this. We had a solution but I fear is was a resolution resize. He's back on Monday so gimme this weekend

Ugh, sorry for the troubles, Oli! I've pinged some folks on our end to help us out on this. I know another area to peek at is Admin > File Viewers > Video Transcoder and look at settings, then click video tab for more info to see videos not converted.

Thanks Grant. I changed the encoding timeout setting to 7200 seconds (2 hours) so will test the 487mb video now.

Checked the video today, and got the same error of 'This video could not be prepared'.
