Can you change the color of a username or add a logo next to it?

Hi Everyone,

We have a Community that is used heavily by a few groups: customers with questions about our products, expert users that provide support, and company employees that provide support. It can be hard to tell which of the latter two groups have answered a question since you cannot see their roles and badges unless you hover over their username. In order to make these groups easier to distinguish, we were wondering if it is possible to assign a text color to a given role or add a logo that appears after their name. Is this something that can be edited on the site as is, or does it need a customization?

Thank you in advance.

This can be achieved with widget customizations.  Depending on your requirements, the scope of the change may be fairly wide as I believe you'll have to edit every widget that renders the username/Display Name.

Additionally, since a user can have multiple roles you'll also need logic in place to determine what role/badge/color displays for a given role and if a user is in both, which wins in priority, etc.

If you're just looking to change the link color of the username, you may be able to do this more globally without editing widgets.  E.g., create a new widget that lives in the footer that contains the logic to color the username links and generates the .css to do so.  (I haven't tested this, just brainstorming).
