Image not appearing on Blog Post List widget

For the image to appear in the Blog Post List widget, the image needs to be added on the Options tab for the blog. That page offers an option to add a Post Image - this image will be used as a thumbnail in blog post list view.

Hi, Tom Paolucci . None of the post are using this option to display the image. The post that did display the image did not use this option. I'm thinking that the image appearing must be based on image size or some other option, but not the blog image option. Is there anywhere else we can look to try to correct this issue?

I believe this might best be addressed by submitting a support case as this could be related to the configuration settings of the widget. 

Are these posts in your example both in the same Blog application? Similar to Tom's comment, I'm curious if there is a blog setting or theme setting that's affecting the difference.

Hi, Alex Nassi . These are coming from two different blogs. That is why I was hoping we could discover a potential setting that may be causing this issue. I'll submit the ticket and see if we can figure out the setting that needs to be updated.

So there are two areas to upload an image for a blog post. 

The first is within that first blog post tab: 

The second option is within the options tab

Whenever I insert an image in the options tab it displays in the blog post list

Here is an example where I put the image in the first tab (where you can set the title, description, tags) 

When I upload it there, it does not display

However you can see the other blog posts displaying with their image in the blog post list widget. Again all of those blogs were created with the image being inserted under the options tab

Thanks for sharing that Sara Collins . We also found a way to insert the image into the text of the blog and use "No Post Summary" option instead of Automatic Summary, which was causing the system to not see the image in some cases.
