Can you change a forum post to a blog post and vice versa?

Question

Our users often get confused between blog content and forum discussion content and it would be great to be able to change a forum post to a blog post and the reverse i.e. convert a blog post into a discussion post as well. 
 I know you can 'capture' a forum post to become an article but can you also swap various content between other applications too?

Certain types of content can, like the thread to article, but its specific to an application. You cannot capture a blog post to a thread, though this is possible via custom development.
