Permission to limit liking

Sarah Mayberry  check out  RE: Turning off Likes . You should be able to turn off the permission for (in a group for all forums or in the specific application) to "Rate Discussions, Questions and Replies." You'd need to turn this OFF for "All registered users" and then turn it on for the necessary roles. You'll need to do similar actions for the other application types.  

Thanks Alex Nassi . The group is Public (Open Membership) so I don't think adjusting the Group Roles will work because these read only users aren't members of the group. I'm not seeing a way to adjust this in the Permissions > Site Role at the Group or Application level.

What about the Site Role > Everyone or Site Role > Registered Users permissions?

Do either of those have "Rate Discussions, Questions and Replies" enabled? 

Good thought, but I don't have "Rate Discussions, Questions and Replies" enabled for those roles either

There really is no permissions governing likes, if users can read the content and it exposes and allows liking then they can like it.

Ok.  That makes sense why I can't find a way to control this.  Thanks Patrick M. !

I've submitted an idea to see if this permission can be added in the future.  Add Permission for Liking
