Menu Scroller

Hello all - does anyone know how I can get this menu below to scroll? As there are about 20 items to access and if you scroll it only moves the page behind it, rather than the drop-down menu. I've not been able to access the settings yet for this drop-down to take a look, as I can't find them! Many thanks

  • Hey Parker Rose! I'm thinking that may be because that was customized and it wasn't built to handle that many items. Do all users see 20 items or is this because you're an admin? Either way, I have not gone down that path before, so I went testing. Here is an ootb widget from my sandbox site on version 11:

It has a scroll bar, so I know it is certainly possible and there out of the box. Likely need to have your widget taken a look at to see what changes it has as compared to the out of the box version.

  • oh amazing - do you know where I could access this, so I can convert it to the out of the box version please? It should populate only with the communities that they are a member of, so not all the groups available, but will include even the ones that are 'Private Unlisted' as this is the only way they can navigate to these groups

  • Right makes sense! Just didn't know if this would be something that is an issue for everyone. In terms of where to access this (do on staging first, which I know you will, just saying for anyone searching in the future):

Go to Administration area by clicking the pencil > Interface > Widget Studio > search for the widget > if it says Customized Default - then you can hover over it and click the 3 dots that appear > click Revert to Revert to Factory Default.

If it says just "Custom" then it may be a duplicate of the out of the box widget. If that is the case, then go back and edit the page you find the widget on, remove it and put in the OOTB widget "Navigation" (I think in your case).

What is the widget name of what you're using now and do you see it as being Customized Default of just Custom?

    Thanks!
