Does anybody work with loads of videos?

I can't speak to any existing implementations, but from a technical standpoint you'll want plenty of storage and plenty of power, particularly for the job server to use Video Transcoder to process videos for web viewing. There's no out-of-the-box functionality for recording/editing videos - only for uploading. So you'd need customizations there, if that's something you want to tightly integrate.
