Is there any way to find out how many activities happened in a group within given period of time via widget API/ In-process api

HI, 
 Is there any way to find out how many activities happened in a group within given period of time via widget API/ In-process api 
 
 We are planning to show group and number of members posted content on a group at the given point of time using widget Api, 
 I tried to achieve this by using activity story stream and search api but no luck. 
 Reporting plugin is showing it some extent but we want to see it an widget page along with other data. 
 Can you please guide me over here

Hi, have you taken a look at the core_v2_activityStory.List script API? You can filter by ContainerId, CreatedEndDate, and CreatedStartDate. Then, if you don't need any other infomation, you can just read the .TotalCount of the response.
