Ideas rss feed url

Ideas doe not have rss feeds.  You will need to use REST to extract Ideas externally.

Is this still the case that ideas do not have RSS feed capability and can you give the reason that they do not?

Applications don't necessarily all have the same features across the board, but we do offer plenty of extensibility points to fit your requirements. You can take a look at the  Page Definition and URL Routing Developer Training for some details on how you might add a custom /rss page for Ideas.
