They are not the same as the Active Members report provides a graph of active members and a list of members who were active along with their total activity count for the period. The Participation report provides a break down of 3 different types of active member as well as viewers.
By looking at the graph, it appears the job which populates the data may be failing. On the top right of the report, your should see a date of when the populate job last successfully ran.
If it's not current, I recommend opening a support case.
I have escalated this to our administrator. The date displayed in the top right corner is Sept 23rd.
Active Members Report - why would that not be available/displayed on my system.
The Active Members Report requires View Site Reports permission on the site. You would need that permission added to see the Active Members Report and the other reports that require that permission.
Brian - this issue with the date the job was last populated was reported last week but we still have had no resolution.
Are you hosted? If so I'd recommend opening a support ticket to investigate.
Either way, you can check Administration > Monitoring > Exceptions to see if any related exceptions are occuring that are causing the job to fail.
