Question

Is there any way to get number of views based on contnetid 
 we like to show number of views per story item in activity stream

Currently views are available only in certain applications directly on the API objects (i.e. forumThread.ViewCount). There is already work under way for the next 11.1 hotfix to expose the View Counts directly from the ContentViews APIs that can be retrieved by ContentId and ContentTypeId. 
 Here is the bug for the change.
