Is it possible to remove a custom page from search indexing?

We want to host a custom landing page from an email campaign in our community, but our marketing team is hoping this page can ONLY be accessed by direct link. Our community is mostly open and this page will not require a user to log in to view (so we can't use roles/permissions). I do not intend on linking it anywhere on the site, so there won't be a direct link for end-users.

My understanding is that custom pages are indexed so, in theory, anyone could land on the page with the proper search conditions.

Is there a way to "hide" this page through, perhaps, an admin setting to "ignore" the page in search? Could/should this be done instead with some type of blog post or discussion instead?

I don't believe there is a way to hide an individual content page from search.  You could include a querystring in your marketing link and only count/display content to those that arrive with that querystring.  The page would not be indexed with any querystring, so you could at least differentiate people who came from the real link and people who found it in search
