Using SFTP in a plugin or automation rule

Question

On a Verint-hosted community, is it possible for a plugin or automation rule to SFTP to a remove server and retrieve a file? 
 I'm looking to confirm if the web application server would block or allow traffic on port 22.

Can you wrote code to do it, sure. Whether or not the web server will block it is dependent on how your web server is setup. If you are hosted with Verint, its something you will need to ask our hosting team via support. If its on premise, you will need to discuss with your server administrator
