Unjoining a Forum Q&As

The opposite of join is "split" in Community. To split a thread, find the reply that represents the thread starter in the combined thread and under more, select "Split". This will break the reply and it's children into a new thread.

Thanks Ben. I don't think that will work because it will create a new question.  I just want to break the two original questions apart without changing the links or create a new question.  Is that possible?

I don't have access to the URLs you provided to see the details of the thread you're wanting to split. 

Perhaps you could elaborate on how you would want to separate a single thread into two without creating a new thread. Are there two questions (that were joined) or not?

When splitting, the current thread would keep the existing URL and the split reply would turn into a new thread with its own replies moved with it. The new thread would have a new URL.

I'm trying to undo the join so things go back to the way they were before.  Two separate URLs with same links/naming convention. 

I think I may just let this one ride out and have the answer added the way it currently is. Thanks for trying to help Ben.
