How can we know which pages / articles / threads the members visit (on a per-user basis)?

We don't currently have any api's that let you view what content individual users are viewing.  We do have reports, which can be exported to csv's that can provide some of these details such as the Viewed Content report.

We currently have a gated community, do you think we can use some external tracking system to associate Members with their viewed content, using (for example) Google Analytics or other tracking systems?

You should be able to use external tracking systems such, however, keep in mind they track page views.  Page views do not match up with our content views as pages can have multiple content items on them and multiple URL's exists for content items.  We also do not filter out unique views nor any robot views.

Could we track "indirectly" what each user views / likes with another Telligent tool from the API endpoints?

Something like what they Bookmarked, where did they comment, which content they created if any, etc?

Our goal is knowing more about them and built an overview of our users.

Which other "site events" do you think could help us reaching a better insight about our members?

Yes, you can pull likes, comments, content they created via our API's, but like I said earlier, we don't have an API for pulling content views.
