Featured Content Carousel widget (URL dataType) doesn't allow hash tags in the URL field for the featured items

Question

This might not be widget specific, but when I enter a URL in a widget config for the featured content carousel widget, it strips HTML anchors from the URL which doesn't allow me to link to specific anchors on the target page. Example: https://www.hearingfirst.org/p/mypage#htmlanchor the #htmlanchor gets stripped. 
 This is the input type in the widget config.

If it's a local page, try just putting the relative url (/p/mypage#htmlanchor) part.

This might also be similar to your other question (https://community.telligent.com/community/11/f/ask-the-community/1147429/editor-strips-mailto-links-when-domain-is-the-same-as-the-website-url) and can be fixed by adding your local url to the Allowed Hosts section in Filtering.
