I recently noticed that new content wasn't being indexed. After investigating we noticed that the Search Index job was no longer present. The Solr Search Provider extension showed as enabled.
When we disabled and re-enabled the Solr Search Provider extension, the Search Index job showed up in the list again and content started being indexed. What would cause the extension to essentially disappear like that?
The filestorage is on a highly-available network share. All other widgets and extensions are behaving normally.
